K-State coach oscar Weber said the coaches felt lucky to find a player as talented as Diarra.

“Cartier is really physically gifted,” he said. “In the bench press test he did nine at 185 (pounds). You put that in perspective when Kevin Durant came out of Texas, he did zero. He’s a freshman with a lot of physical ability. He can get to the basket. He’s not a bad shooter, he just needs to get a little more consistent.”
