United are currently giving up between 20-30 shots per game which is among the worst in all of Europe. This has been mitigated in part by Onana who has settled in and been solid in goal. United also look like scoring at least 2 goals themselves per game. It's just pure chaos - which brings me back to the feeling that Ten Hag has given up. Not sure he'll survive the summer with new ownership.
Watched the Old Firm highlights too yesterday. What a game. Why did they get rid of away fans for this fixture? Sounded like they're bringing them back soon though.
I listen to this podcast called talk of the devils it's Manchester based, from the athletic. Anyway, they're pretty plugged in and they say that Radcliffe is bringing him back.
Boss signs off, no?I thought Ryan Gilbert did but maybe I'm wrong. I may have slandered the good name of Fitz for nothing.
It was Gilbert, Fitz doesn't do crystal balls, but it's his damn website

Yeah, they’re really growing up
I didn't realize you could earmark your donations to the Ahearn fund unless it had six or more zeroes on it.
If it wasn't easier to be lazy, I'd look to see if KU broke out revenue for women's VB since it's been pretty successful and has developed a good following. That's the only women's sport that comes to mind where KU stands out in the conference. But can the revenue gap between KU & K-State realistically be explained by women's VB alone?
Duke forward
https://247sports.com/Player/Mark-Mitchell-46077127/QuoteMark Mitchell, a former five-star McDonald's All-American and two-year starter for the Duke basketball program, entered the transfer portal earlier this week. Now, the 247Sports Crystal Ball projects the 6-foot-9, 230-pound forward to take his talents to Kansas State, albeit with only one entered prediction thus far.

This is cap, by the way, we aren't recruiting this guy
Is that a recent change? As of yesterday, I found 3 or 4 sources saying we were but they were all a week or so old at that time.
Those sources were weird college basketball aggregator twitter accounts, right? He's not been on campus and he's not going to be
I guess I was unaware that SI is a shitty aggregator now.

Because they moved it from Arrowhead?
I forgot to mention during the 2nd half the PA guy announced the attendance and that it was the largest mls regular season game attendance in the state of Missouri, and also the 4th largest mls regular season game attendance ever. Then thanked the crowd for taking part in making history. It was one of the most amazing cringe things I've ever heard in my life
Will this have more reality than the Arkansas gay triangle love thing?

A 10th player was tampered with by Iowa State and he's transferring from Northern Iowa. Dude announced his destination the day after the portal opened.
Mo Valley losing 12 of 16 all conference players to the portal
not sure if It Just Be Like That, but every time they showed a slo-mo replay where Eddy was involved (both defense and offense) he would just whack the crap out of whoever was in his vicinity. Specifically i'm remembering Eddy going for a slam dunk and the uconn guy tried to block it but his hand went thru the net and it was called goal tending but at the moment the ball rimmed out and Eddy seemed kinda mad that his dunk didn't count in the traditional sense, then on the way down (to the floor) Eddy just smacked that dude right in the mouth.
Another time was on defense the uconn guy drove the lane and did kind of a circus shot over Eddy's outstretched arms and then on the way down Eddy swatted that guy too.
In both cases it didn't really look like anything in real time, and the uconn players didn't try to sell the contact.
I have never played collegiate basketball (or professional) so i'm not sure if that's just how it goes sometimes or if Eddy is kind of a dirty bitch?
I played professionally, but not collegiately.
As to Storrs, it does feel like the middle of nowhere. Closest major metro is Hartford, I think, if you can even call Hartford a major metro. I stayed there for a few days in middle school, and I can't remember a single thing about Storrs other than the campus.
Hartford is absolutely a major metro, but when you're in Storrs, it may as well be two hours away. UConn has not traditionally done well with NYC kids because if you really want to stay close to home Storrs is a crap deal. It's 2.5 hours to NYC in good traffic. You can't even take a train from Storrs to NYC or Boston, you have to get to New Haven, which is an hour away, then take the commuter rail to the city.
121,000 souls, per the 2020 census. It's a nice, historic city, featuring Mark Twain's house and some old graveyards, but is that really a major metro?
