The sky isn't falling, Jay. The sky fell years ago. Then we set the sky on fire, p****d on it it, and buried it 6 feet underground.
There's no way KU will knock down Memorial stadium and the site where Memorial sits is one of the best in the nation. They can do wonders with 250 million. KU will wait until a new coach is hired to start back up on the stadium, another reason David Beaty needs to be gone now. Money will come gushing in with a name brand coach that wins 5 or more games in a season.
At the focus group I harped on doing what SKC did. The cheap seats had a good atmosphere, offered cheap beer, etc. The build it and they will come attitude. It's different here since they will be relying on some of that premium revenue to build the thing. But between the focus groups and that tone deaf survey they sent out, I think the message was sent loud and clear the premium seat demand isn't there.
Here’s a thought. We have the best basketball arena on the planet. What can we take from AFH and incorporate into the football experience?
So adorable. https://twitter.com/heyschneid/status/1016452341812334592

He's just saying that they should go cheap, and it's hard to argue with that. The basketball arena is an old pile of junk, and they think it's great. If their stadium was just slightly less than mediocre, they'd think it was the Vatican.
i think bielema would be a great hire if they could get him.
guess they'll have to settle for harbaugh
Quote from: SkinnyBenny on July 13, 2018, 03:23:01 PMguess they'll have to settle for harbaugh Jim may be on the market in the not that distant future. But IMO he'll either retire, because M will owe him a ton of money, or he'll head back to the NFL. Maybe head into the broadcast booth . . . which would be weird, but likely must watch.
