more than rumors, he is gone

Poor Things was a much wilder ride than I expected

that meme gif of the blond guy tilting his head in mild surprise was basically me throughout the movie

5
The Holdovers was very good

i went to The Zone of Interest a couple weeks ago. it was great, and i am not surprised it won the oscar for sound editing. i'm really glad i saw it in theaters because it allows you to get the full effect of the subtle noises in the background (which is a concentration camp because they live next to Auschwitz). haunting stuff.

Guys

i missed this hot griddle action when you posted it. congrats, looks great, and welcome to the party.

i certainly would have expected more than 4 total high school commits/signees at this point in the tang tenure

not sure where else to put this, but i saw these at Aldi and decided to give them a try. they are absolutely terrible. instantly went in trash after about 2.5 bites.

i didn't hate watching True Detective S4 but can't really disagree with the criticism i've seen of it, writing was kind of sloppy and all over the place.

I watched Good Time the other night.  Stressful flick, but I liked it.  Lot of respect for Pattinson.

Pattinson shined

there was a report/witness that one of the guns used was in a backpack, and the shooter actually held up the backpack and shot the gun through it.

i dove head first back into Peaky Blinders last week because i hadn't watched S5 or S6 yet. only a couple episodes left, S6 is very depressing and it feels like it's crawling to the finish line.

Good Time ... just, chaotic as eff. i went into it totally blind not realizing it was the same guys as Uncut Gems. my goodness what a stressful 90 minutes. would recommend.

Poor Things .... went into this one blind as well and WOW. it has the sex. storyline is absolutely bonkers and genius. have done no research on whether it's based on a book or something. it's hard to make me feel uncomfortable in a movie theater but this one almost did the trick. would also recommend tho.

last night felt weird. like kstate sucks and didn't even play all that well and still managed to win. i didn't even really hate any of the ku players. they were boring.

"ku doesn't look as good this year"  is this really happening again

smoothies are generally known for being bad nutrient delivery systems cause of all the sugar involved.

la la la la la la la i can't hear you

warm this thread back up.

smoothies! who eats them? i've never been into them but recently started dabbling, even got me a ninja blender from costco. current fav recipe some protein/collagen chowder, tbsp peanut butter, greek yogurt, and a pre-packaged smoothie blend of frozen veggies/fruits i got (from costco too, obvs). tastes great and has the flavors i crave.

What's with the Dana/Winston Dimel names on his locker?

good eye. obviously an old name plate that was used for something, but i cannot really piece together why it would be there on that locker in the year of our lord 2024, and why Dana and Winston would be on the same name plate.

let's call it a "dry at home" january, so no drinking at home. had gotten into a good rhythm of having a scotch or two each night through the holidays. will have some beers at the chiefs game this weekend and also on a three-day trip later this month. other than that, nothing!

You suave son of a bitch.  Macallan 12?  Glenlivet?  I got a bottle of Glenlivet Founder's Reserve for a gift but haven't cracked it yet. :lick:

And agree with you and Mcat that not having one at home is probably a tad tougher than going out and not having one.  Still dry as well.

i've had Laphroaig basic (yr??), Laphroaig 10, Islay Gold 10, and now a Benriach 10 that I'm really liking.
