I said you may be right about the team Weber inherited from Frank but if you look at the players on both teams closely, this team should have just as much potential.
Center  -              Henriquez Roberts, Gipson  vs  Mawien, Sallah, Shadd, Stockard and Love
Power Forward  -   Shane Southwell  vs Claws, Mawien
Wing  -                McGruder  vs  Sneed, Wainright, Patrick
Two guard  -         Irving, Spradling vs Brown, Cartier Diarra, McGuirl
Point guard  -        Rodriquez vs  Stokes, Cartier Diarra, McGuirl

Stokes play at point with backup from Diarra and McGuirl will determine if this years team can come close to being as good as Webers first team.  Stokes after 1 and 1/2 years experience averaged 11.7 and 4.5 assists this year vs Angel after his freshman year at 8.3 and 3.2 assists.  Angel stepped up his play and made that 2012/2013 team good.  Stokes cutting down turnovers will be a key to whether this years team is successful.
Reno is also right about this years team having competition at each position.

Ptolemy and the rest of the #neverBruce movement are starting to run out of folks to listen to their testament.

My point stands unchallenged.
Glad you feel good.   I got it.  You like Will Spradling better than Brown and Shane Southwell better than Claws and Mawien.
Just to make you feel secure with your point, this is a highlight video of Mawien that I'm sure you have seen before.  I like post players that can hit step back threes and average 41% from three plus put it on the floor and drive.  I like the 2 blocks per game also.  The other bad thing is he is just a sophomore this year.

Last year in January people were starting to get tingly sensations in KSU BB willieweasels as we start good in conference, and nearly beat KU in chicken house.  Then DJamer got hurt or slowed.  Hothorndog to the rescue.  Failure.  Hell February.  Why?  No backup.  Williams quit and Love was using the boot.  Now we hAve 5 guys who can play the center position and 3 power forward.  No longer does Claws have to be a post guy.  I think this will help him to play with more abandoned fervor.

Good post.  Plus Claws can lose playing time if he does not play aggressively.

A good number of these guys youre referencing as good post depth are completely unproven. And if oscar's track record with Bigs is any sign of things to come then alot of these guys will never step on the court (for whatever reason) or contribute .

Finally, for those who care.  (Please skip this post if you don't care)
This is the box score from the Iowa State game for the third guy Reno started this post with.  Second game of the season so ISU was missing lots of shots to allow this many defensive rebounds.  Still, Salah is a big strong guy that started every game last year for a tournament team.
Starters       MP   2P   2PA   2P%   ORB   DRB   TRB   BLK   TOV   PTS

Mawdo Sallah   27   1   7   .143   3   11   14   1   4   2

I follow cat basketball recruiting pretty closely but I've honestly never heard of Mawien or Sallah. Who are they and when did we get them on campus?

You may have your caring ratcheted up a little higher than you want or you would let posts about next years players go unanswered.   Keep trying though.  I said I don't care about you guys caring but it's still good to know.  Thanks

I am looking forward to Ben Boyle belting out "Mawdo Sallah" after a big dunk shot, there is just so much for him to work with syllable wise

just watched the first few seconds of that video, but I don't see how he is going to adjust to the faster pace of NCAA D1 basketball

No doubt adjusting to D1 ball will be a question as juco basketball is more guard oreinted.  He did spend a red shirt year at Utah so practiced against 7 footer Poetl who is now in the NBA.  Also attended the 2014 Lebron James skills camp so he has at least played against high level big men.
