Why did you use "next Wednesday" in the title and "this coming Wednesday" in the post?
They are interchangeable.

I don't think they are.

yea but that's for Monday, not Wednesday.

I bet we hang around

I convince myself to think this every year.

We don't.

It was basically a poor follow up on my part. I should have used the same terminology in title and text. But I'm not going back in to change it. It's been a nice side convo to this thread for me.

I think this year is different. Plus, I think their effort will suck coming off that OT victory. (Even tho it was against a mediocre and wounded UK team).

The Cats will lose by one. *

* The blizzard moves more slowly than expected and dumps more than a foot of snow on Manhattan Tuesday. The Cats can't travel to Lawrence, so we agree to just forfeit the game 1-0.

Look, these games are usually over at halftime. Even when Wooly somehow beat them, it was bleak at half time. Even the best K-State I've ever seen got destroyed in Lawrence. The halftime score was reasonable, but we all knew we weren't winning that game.

Halftime scores from the last 10 years:

Year   KSU   KU
2015   17   33
2014   28   45
2013   29   47
2012   20   35
2011   20   37
2010   38   45
2009   24   37
2008   29   41
2007   35   47
2006   18   26

At least with the hard fought game last night, maybe that will spot us like 10 points at half or something. Bottom dweller team, etc.

2008   29   41
2007   35   47
2006   18   26

avg score halftime score: 26 - 39

also, for grins, over the same time period, the avg final score in Lawrence is 63 - 80

I think Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives is on the Food Network (kind of a guilty pleasure of mine).  Also, on Spike TV there's I, Robot (not great but is at least exciting).  The Purge is on FX (not really a fan, but some might be).  Castle is on TNT (apparently people like this show).  The Bourne Supremacy is on AMC (again, not great, but at least entertaining).

There's always Netflix - I mean, Narcos should be watched by anyone who has functioning eyeballs.

It's going to be an abomination. KU with a big let down game, bills junk defense styming our so called offense.

Very true. Self will show oscar how to kill something that is already dead.

Netflix and Amazon are releasing new movies on Monday. Plenty of new choices.

Just finished Making a Murderer, so that's no longer an option. Hopefully one of the new ones is good.

You people are crazy.  This game has a good shot at being the funniest one of the year.

Deathbite don't play.  Dogbite continues to improve.   Big Meat doesn't play like an exlax addict.  Claws gets mad and goes beserk.  Oscar burns and gets roasted with a technical.  We lose by 11.

This game has, and always will be, about gettin' buckets.

And I don't think we have anyone that has the nuts to do that in Allen Outhouse

Netflix has new seasons dropping this week, iirc.  Also, amazon has mad dogs season 1 we are still working on.

At the tip, I will fully believe that we have a chance to win. I will be convinced that if we can just be within 2 at the first tv time out, then it will be a dog fight.
At some point, I will have a sick, weird feeling that I really want us to get blown out.

The "sick, weird" part is new this year. It's a feeling I've gotten during a few games. I don't like it, but I can't stop it.

I have yet to feel that way at the start of a game in Lawrence. I hold so little hope in a win there. And not usually am I so pessimistic.
