Any other former ksfers here who discovered message boards just after he left and were mystified by both the trail he left and the random appearances? He was Kurtz.

Never met Fatty but he was an inspiration.

His posts were so fun and optimistic that I felt I knew him and wish I truly had.

Quite simply, the K-State message boarding community would not be what it is today without Fatty. Not even close.

Without question. And with that small community being the group buying the hushpuppies, so to speak, Fatty's role becomes even more evident. He was a salesman, maven, and connector all rolled into one.

I never met fatty.  I wish I had.  I always wanted to.

Very few people can transcend normal BBSing and create an iconic identity, but he did it.

KSU lost one of it's best representatives today.  Simply awful.

I had the honor of meeting Fatty at MHK one evening along with anotherllow goemawer.  Could not have been a nicer guy.  He complimented some of my posts, coming from him, that meant the world.  RIP FATTY.

That was me. I'm sad

My bad, we both had the privilege of getting to know FFF.  Thinking about you Fatty :( thanks for everything.

It was an honor to watch the Nebraska game with him in lincoln last year. My most recent PM is from him. R.I.P. you are still my role model.

He was incredible that game.  I remember him yelling at Nebraskans after the game in the concourse about how much he'd miss the $10 tickets and the free wins.  Prayers to his family.

I was Shwan's TA for chemical analysis at State. Great student, and such a lively personality. I'll always remember his first question for me - it wasn't anything about chemistry, it was "do you know who OJ Mayo is?" (this was right during the middle of GRCOAT).

so sad.
i saw these posts right after the game today and was just in shock.
T&P's to all his family and friends.
