Kci has 16 security lanes total now. The problem is some sit dead while others get overwhelmed based on flight traffic.

12 isn't the set number of lanes that will be at the new terminal btw. That's still TBD. 12 is based on 2013 data that needs to be refreshed.

When I lived by the quaff and there was an invent going on at the Sprint Center, I could never find a place to park on Washington street or anywhere around there. I have a crap ton of parking tickets as well that I had to pay for because it's only "2 hour parking" during the day and they come around and mark your tires to see how long you've been there. If I took a sick day or just a day off period and forgot my car was parked on a side street, I was mumped. Add 30K to what's already a crap show.
Street parking isn't for long term car storage. There was a garage you could buy a spot for in the alley.
Yeah, I didn't want to pay $75 a month for it tho.
Holy crap. Any description of "parking is a nightmare", that was solvable by having a reserved garage spot for $2.50 a day is hilarious.  Parking in KC is just about the easiest thing ever, except that we all grew up in the suburbs conditioned to complain about having to park in the back half of the lot at Price Chopper.
:adios:

lack of tsa checkpoints is the airlines’ issue, not the airport’s
it’s no wonder united doesn’t have one

It's a space issue. Only so many s.f. for checkpoints...but yes airlines have input.

non-'gloids can look at those pictures and figure out pretty easily that their experience will improve drastically

in what way?

every way

If I have to go through security with the unwashed SW masses, my experience will definitely not improve.
Precheck for all gates. Mind blowing concept.

A list pref/Pre check -  :gocho:

Apparently the main st max is moving to Grand (downtown only).
It's a farther walk to the nearest stop for me now but still pretty good.

EXCEPT when there is a daytime event at sprint center (wtf?), so grand is closed off completely and then the max is rerouted all the way over to Oak and it's a total clusterfuck. Anybody know what sprint center event would necessitate closing Grand at 8 am this week?

Cerner.   Yes closing Grand so much when we moved so many bus lanes to Grand is annoying.

I haven't taken the new MAX route yet but I was a big fan of the move even though it causes me 3x the walk to use....just so dumb to weave back and forth through the downtown loop.
