Title: Things to do in MHK for little Cats (children)
Post by: meow meow on August 29, 2014, 01:33:40 PM
So taking my 2 year old to the game tomorrow, it's kind of hard to do much tailgating with her, she doesn't want to just stand in a parking lot and talk/drink, it's weird.  So anyway, i'm looking for other ideas on things we can do.  Thought about the Discovery center place, but she may be too young for that.  Maybe the park or Sunset?  Are those my options?

The Discovery Center would be fine.  It has a nice play area on the second floor and a two year old would not be too young for it.  It might be pretty crowded though.

Thanks for clarifying that this is not a thread for midgets.

Great idea, but bring your own snacks in case they run out at the concessions stand.

Is the splash park in city park still running, or did they shut it off for the season? If it's closed the fountains by the Hilton garden inn might still be running and my (1.5 years old at the time), daughter had fun playing in those, plus it's right by the discovery center

Also it sounds like you're a great dad for taking your kiddo to do fun activities!

Take her wherever MIR's daughters are, even if that's tailgating at the stadium.

2yr olds are fairly stupid, so you can do about anything and they will have fun

Also, maybe suggest a game of tag or something in the parking lot? Maybe a nice game of play around in the dirt? I dunno, when you're two the world is a giant playground, I didn't know it was required to entertain them. but maybe you are a great dad

Discovery Center has a big kids room, fyi. I don't think she would like the rest of it much, though.
