The contract with sure west (awful company)  kcfdwife signed us up for two years ago is finally up. Fiber being installed on Monday! Seriously can't wait. I've been super happy with it at the brewery, glad to have it at home too!

If you ever want to have cable and Internet that constantly blacks out,  has overall poor quality, and customer service that is beyond awful, sign a Contract with sure west.

Could be an ios thing....I'm not sure the Android version always did either.  I've used the streaming feature during multiple sport event viewing at the same time.

are you using both bands on your airport extreme router?  If your phone is on the 5 gHz band maybe try the 2.4 gHz channel.

ya i don't think that there's an easy way to disable the 2.4 gHz channel on the extreme.
but also and more importantly, i don't understand your post

One month in, the plusses are: lots of dvr space, faster speed downloads, better WiFi, more coverage with WiFi.

Minuses - slow channel flipping. Like real slow. Every channel seems to need to load and be caught up. Not being able to watch channels off koru property, and not being able to set the dvr while away are also pretty terrible.

a lot of users describe the slow channel flipping, but i have not experienced that.  it would drive me nuts
mine is really fast, i bet it's using a quantum computing solution

Do you know when it's coming?  They just got done tearing into and "fixing" my backyard, assume it's for the Gigapower upgrade to compete with Google.  Website doesn't have anything yet for my address.

Have had fiber for a week. Pretty great. Do not experience slow channel flipping. It's way faster than my old service. Internet is awesome, I avg around 400 gbps. Not bad considering I'm paying roughly the same per month but my old service had less channels and avg'd 25 gbps.

the people i know that complain about slow channel flipping are on the kansas side.  GF has different boxes running different software, i don't know how they have chosen to deploy it though.

Oh. Our TV boxes are insanely small. Like the size of an old Walkman or something.

I do not.  They and GF were working in our neighborhood at the same time though.  Made for a huge mess.  They seem to be done with our neighborhood but still in the area.

ya i think all of the tv boxes are small, i'm talking about the other box(es)

the network box and the storage box are combined into one with the new hardware

my friend in ks, in the guide, different stuff is colored differently- sports are green, movies are some other color, etc.  his previous channel list  shows up vertically, instead of horizontally across the bottom.
his guide moves slows, channels change slowly

Oh ok. My guide has different colors. Sports are green, movies are blue... At first it was annoying buy I like it now. Makes it easy to find a game etc... The rest of it works just like time warner, channels are lined of horizontally

I'd imagine some people complain because it was hyped so much, they expected it to blow their minds everytime they used the Internet/ watched TV. I'm just pleased it's well above average service with roughly average cost.

Customer service is awesome too. I love being able to chat with someone online rather than waiting on hold for 30 Minutes. I did have an issue with one of my boxes at like 9pm the second night we had it. I logged on, told them my problem, and they had someone here to change it  out in 15 min.  No way TWC has ever done that.

For us as soon as GF was done and the new grass was growing AT&T came in and mumped it all up again.

It's been announced that we are getting Fiber, but the question mark is still when that date is...
