This is a good joke, I see the irony. We have a non-duke scholy person asking(knowing - TBT) what something is(in jest) while a confirmed duke scholy person confirming that they seemingly don't know what is obviously a fractal.

Poor Cassini. It would be pretty awesome to drop off some microbes and see what happens. Probs not worth the risk and I wouldn't be alive to know the result. But it'd be cool.
