Trump and Russia
« Reply #200 on: February 14, 2017, 08:41:55 AM »
Comparing and contrasting.

Pubs force people to resign.  Dems obfuscate, defend, blame others and promote.

Didn't Obama fire Flynn from the CIA?

Yeah, but he wasn't as close the pres and was on the job for two years.

He's a registered Dem, BTW.

I don't think it is hard to make the case that there were multiple people that were incompetent in executing the Vietnam and Iraq wars.

I think there is still a case to be made that Rumsfeld was incredibly reckless in his "planning" and in his inability to see the mission or coordinate with the CPA to have a coherent plan for what to do once they were in Baghdad.

I mean, McNamara and the Gulf of Tonkin is fireable to me.

I love dax's approach that we can't be concerned with anything happening in 2017 because goEMAW didn't exist during the 1960s when Mcnamara was doing illegal things.

Dax is really destroying this hypothetical Hillary presidency.

Speaking of how Pubs hold people accountable, let's all wait and see if Trump promotes Petraeus.

You mean the guy who was railroaded out and career left in shambles for far, far less then what the (D) presidential nominee was engaged in?

I'm sure the general was all  :dunno: as he observed the (D) presidential nominee essentially skate.

Well let's see the lay of the land in week 4 of "I see Russians" meltdown by the left:

1.  No indication of lifting of sanctions on any significant level

2.  Confronting Russia's #2 client state in the Middle East on nearly every level

3.  Largest NATO maneuvers on Russian frontier since the end of the cold war still ongoing

There was a time when ProgLibs absolutely melted down over any substantial or significant confrontation with Russia (Soviet Union) no matter what bad things the Russians (Soviet Union) was up to in the world.  Instead they wanted to pursue detente on every level (then weirdly they melted down with the Soviet Union disintegrated . . . I guess since it came under a Republican administration(s).

So in the context of history, this Russophobia is, well, hilarious.

Never stop Whackadoo partisan left.

Again, literally 1000's working in our government are vulnerable to blackmail.   Why is that even news?

Oh and for like the 5th time, I called for the guy to get fired, investigate all you want.

Lick, you know the historical approach by conservatives to Russia (Soviet Union) that's why the Libs (after the party forgot about JFK) melted down about it.

I enjoy how at one moment proglibs (i guess) are war mongering, the next minute they want to pursue detente at every level. If I've learned anything, proglibs are capable of a lot of things in dax's world. I'm sure I've misinterpreted it and look forward to being corrected by captain self-righteous.

If you define "moments" as being decades in length, you might have a point.

Dax do you believe the Trump admin will be or more firm in dealing with Russ's?  I think Barry's weakness emboldened them and Trump needs to tighten the sanctions especially trade.

No, I don't, but they'll go after Russian client state Iran hard.
