The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Re: MAGA
« on: January 07, 2021, 06:58:38 PM »
Previuosly I just looked at these people as just stupid hillbillies but after yesterday if you are flying a MAGA flag or wearing gear in my eyes you are a domestic terrorist and will be treated as such.

How do you treat domestic terrorists?

I start by not considering them domestic terrorists, they're just terrorists. The definition of terrorist does not mention anything about country of origin, nationality, or foreigners. That being said Trump flags should be treated the same way as Jihadist flags, and confederate battle flags were treated during the civil war.

Even after yesterday social media is filled with people threatening violence on other American citizens.

Do you actually want a second civil war? Because labeling anyone with a Trump flag/shirt/hat a terrorist is exactly how you get a second civil war.

Use your freaking head and stop advocating for crap that's going to get more people killed.

don't wear the uniform if you ain't tryna get in the game

Well, get off your ass and find Jack Ma. His disappearance is the cause for this.

I thought that this was a pretty interesting take. Not a very professional take, but one that got me thinking much more than anything else I've read in the last 24 hours.

What happens if Joe gets sworn in while Trump is mid-air?

As figure 1 illustrates, 45% of Republicans with degrees, compared to 23% of Democrats with degrees, said they feared that their careers could be at risk if their views became known.

The most telling thing isn't the discrepancy in the %'s, it's the fact that they are above 2-5% at all.

Activist investing...anyone do it? Last month I dumped an Energy ETF full of oil and gas companies (that I bought like 6 years ago) and replaced it with a Wind Energy ETF to go along with my Solar and Battery ETFs.

Looking again at the PA maps, Biden is likely to flip at least two of Bucks, Monroe and Lehigh counties, while finishing strong in Allegheny, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelpia. Biden carries the state by ~2%.

Update - Biden has flipped all three of those counties, which bodes well for the other half of this prediction.

Trump team just called GA for Biden too. This election result is going to be reasonably close to what the forecast maps called for

Trump's lead is 40k and there are still ~168k ballots to be counted between Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton, Richmond, Bibb, Muscogee, Dougherty, and Chatham counties. All those are blue with Joe getting ~69-70% of the vote. Conservatively, that points to Joe picking up an additional 64k votes.

So, I wouldn't be shocked to see GA turn blue.

Jesus, how supressed is the vote in MO? I don't believe for a second that Jackson county has less than 350k registered voters. St. Louis county has a population north of a million and they only turn out 500k?

The overwhelming majority of remaining counts for MI are in Wayne county (66-31 D-R)
The overwhelming majority of remaining counts for PA are in Allegheny (55-43 D-R), Chester (54-45 D-R), Delaware (60-39 D-R), Philadelphia (78-21 D-R), Lehigh (48-51 D-R), and Beaver (33-65 D-R).
Georgia is going to come down to Chatham, Dougherty, DeKalb, Richmond, and Clayton counties. I don't see Biden overcoming the 78k he needs to carry the state. He might get really close though (< 5k votes).
Same thing with NC, I don't see enough coming from Mecklenburg, Cumberland, Forsyth, and Orange counties to make up the 77k that Joe needs there.
