That surprises me honestly. Is the royalty/licensing fee a ridiculous amount?

I think we're due for another tour inside VFC. Anyone have a contact in the Ath Dept that can make this happen?

If Disney is known for one thing it would be a manic control over its own properties. Remember the scare that Mickey and Minnie mouse would become available to the public and so producers would use them in adult movies? Disney wants their properties to be wholesome. So I would expect they would keep random people from putting their character's anywhere willie nillie. Though I am sure you could pay a licensing fee, I just wonder how large that price tag is.

Guys, judge me how you please.. but now that we're re-doing Vanier and enclosing the NEZ (kind of), I really don't like where they put the training table. It just looks out of place to me and maybe it could've waited to be a part of the new NE*?

*I'm assuming at the time, the new Vanier wasn't expected to be be a project for years and years down the road, so they just added it to the WSC, but whatever.

It stresses me out that we spent 75 million on this thing.

Baylor built their whole damn stadium for 260.

To be fair, part of the added cost for K-State on both Vanier and WSC is the extremely compressed construction timeline. You pay extra to get it built extra fast.

CC can you be more transparent on the NE endzone?  Also, limestone wall around the field?  Where we at on that?  TIA

Not sure what you want transparency about?

Limestone wall: AthDept wants it. NE corner will hopefully solve ADA code issues with lower bowl. Field wall would be impacted by these. Would probably be built after NE corner.

If you included altering section 28 as part of this project, then the entire project might have to wait to begin until it passed code -- and there are lots of questions about what altering a 1960s seating bowl means as far as passing code. The initial discussions indicated it might take a while to figure that out, meanwhile, rest of project could be delayed while those questions were answered -- and obviously you'd like to have team facilities done prior to season.

Moving NE corner into sep project allows primary facility to be completed in one offseason, gives time for code issues to be resolved for NE corner, plus gives two fundraising cycles to allow for higher end finishes and such throughout (and spreads cost over two FY). Current project, not including NE corner, is $69M. Not sure on cost of NE corner, but its much less than that obv.
