It looks like the pope just let out a fart. Nothing brings men of all different belief systems together like a good ol' barn burner.

No matter what, that picture is what the kids call "totes adorbs"

This guy has conservatives enraged again for some reason.
At work (and even on this board, all though it is masked better on the board), some non-conservatives are enraged at the conservatives being enraged. I am concerned that (another) modern day holy war is going to break out.

Probably not.  But some of the more bad person Catholics might  :buh-bye: by the time Francis is done reforming dragging the Church into the 21st century.

All the super Catholics are upset because he supposedly said you don't have to believe in God to go to heaven. (I don't think that's exactly what he said though.)

Yeah, I'm confused as to why, not mad about it. I agree with the pope on some things and not on some others. Same with most people. Seems like a great guy though.

Like the last guy was pretty clearly a terrible person. The one before that was alright (I think, though I didn't really pay attention back then).

Good riddance. This pope is a godsend. I have yet to hear one bad thing about him. All I hear are great admirable things. Pope for President.

PJP2 was pretty cool. He was well loved. I was too young to have a very developed opinion about him.

to answer the original question: i think a lot of hardcore conservatives have it in their heads that "liberals" have it out for religion, especially christianity. so when the defacto face of christianity comes out and supports a bunch of ideas that are typically associated with "liberals", i think it messes with their heads quite a bit and they just can't handle it. that's just a guess on my part but i think it's pretty accurate, at least for some.

I think his message is more in line with Christ than theirs. Also, he has access to all those hidden texts. :)

i mean hardcore conservative christians just can't help themselves, PR-wise. i mean here is a pope universally loved. all you have to do is agree and maybe even claim him as one of your own. nope, best to not trust it because liberals/media/whatever like him

That one guy in the background is one of the Catholics that isn't happy right now. "Why is he laughing with the liberal leader of the free world??!"  :curse: (but not too cursey, because catholic)

Probably me being hopeful, but I don't think he was "in" office at that point when it started to unravel.  I think Joey Rats and the nuts were running too much of the show and didn't let the info get that high up to JP.

they were definitely paying huge settlements and massive piles of hush money. he may not have known, but he was still the CEO
