a lot of small details set up in this one to prepare us for the last episodes of the season.  Rick's mistake of not trusting people will probably come back to bite him since the people he kicked out of the prison are going to help the governer.

How can you call that episode terrible? Do you even know what terrible TV looks like? (go read all of 'clams posts in other tv show thread). By no means was it the best episode but it was ok.

Dramas can be really awful when you only get to watch them on episode at a time. Good dramas take multiple episodes to build tension (see Breaking Bad) and when you only see a small piece of a big picture, it can seem pretty insignificant. But when you get to see all of it you'll realize the small pieces significance.

the show does create a lot of weird pulls in the audience's loyalties because of stuff like this. for example: i hate the governor (obvz antagonist), identify with rick (obvz protagonist), but i can't fault tyrese, who i also think is a completely decent dude due to the preventing of the shovel massacre at the prison, for saying "eff that guy for putting a gun on me" and joining forces with the governor for an opportunity at a normal life and safety.

another character that creates a huge amount of conflict within the viewer is merle. can you trust him to continue to work with the group and to chalk up his past discretions to "gustapoism"? idk? probably plenty of twists left though with him... "if there are any problems with your brother, it's on you."

The whole Gov losing his crap thing and the whole Tyrese seems to be a decent d00d thing make me think that Tyrese will be the reason the gov ultimately isn't successful(assuming that he isn't).

The Walking Dead seems okay I guess, I watched the first 6 or so episodes.  I just never like anything that tries to be serious when the premise is zombie apocalypse.  As far as zombies and vampires go, count me out.

:adios:

Do you ever find yourself bored and replying to topics you don't give a crap about at all?  I sometimes do.  Might belong in the shame yourself thread.

The worst is when nobody pays any attention to your boredom posts.  It somehow amplifies the boredom.

pretty great episode, you guys.

whenever they do the "a couple of people go on a road trip" episode, it's always good.

So who all dies in the governer vs rick battle?

I'm thinking carol takes one to the dome. Rick is shot but lives and at least 1 other person from the prison group gets bit.

Also I bet they have a couple of skirmishes then right before/during the big battle some huge herd of walkers shows up and everyone just splits.

Merle has to die.  They won't just let him hang around keeping everyone on edge.
