Marshall probably said some baller stuff like: "It doesn't make it any more special that it was against a state school, we beat the opponent in front of us and we're in the sweet 16 now". And KU fans just know that this was their super bowl!

Why is Marshall a liar? Totally in the dark about this rhetoric.
Yeah, I was curious about this, too.

I think it's all about the semantics argument from the last 3-4 years about whether Gregg making jokes on stage at an event in wichita to Seff about playing constitutes him "calling" Seff for a game.

Yea, I think it has to do with their belief that if anyone other than Self is passive aggressive they're a douche/liar/etc. Self is classy about it tho.

ITS ALL BGL's FAULT!

Quote
Self took a lot of ish from the local media over the Morrii, Robinson, TT and Sherron being "thugs".  We had the KC Star routinely writing articles bashing our players for their attitudes and KK was calling for the school to cancel the program.  As stupid as that stuff was, it prolly didn't sit well with BGL.  Ever since that group of players, he's gone out and recruited exclusively S-A-W-F-T players, both in personality and physical play.

I thought Cliff was goin to bring some of that attitude to the team, but we know how that worked out.

Just makes me wonder if Bill was told he needs to recruit more "image-friendly" players.

But the Shockers are still involved. In the process, questions over scheduling Kansas were pushed aside.

“They may want to play now. Who knows?’’ Marshall said. “I have no idea. I’m not worried about that. I’m fine letting the series lay the way it is right now. The series is good with me at this point.’’

Google gregg marshall chhickenhawks.  I think the sequence was that after they won the nit, he said at the pep rally that the squawks were scared to play wsu and called them chickenhawks.  Zulu said Gregg needs to watch his mouth.  When pushed on his claim that he'd called Seff about a game, Gregg explained he meant his comment on the hoopapalooza (?) stage or something.  Squawks say stage remarks don't equal calling, and thus he's a liar.  Like Izzo.

Bald ex vtech coach says it's not KU's job to help WSU build their program. I agree. It would be more fun for everyone if the 3 teams all played each other. But I agree KU doesn't have anything to gain by playing them. The state of KS would benefit ad a whole if they all played. Provided WSU and KSU hold up their end of the program bargain.

Even on the message boards, the pockets of the most extreme fandom, there was no real vitriol to be found. Up until Friday morning, there was no KU hate — nothing even about gaining respect — on the ShockerNet.net basketball forum, and the only real hatred came from a KU fan, who hoped Wichita State fans were ready for the "whoopin" the Jayhawks were going to put on their "sorry ass program." That incited some bickering, but the reaction was more of a surprised, "uhh ... what?"

If everyone's perfectly honest with themselves though, as things stand today, WSU has more to lose from a series with KU.

yes. I agree. Not gEing.
They have proven that they are better than KU. If they play again and lose, then this recent victory is brushed aside as 'luck'.

I don't think that's true. Wichita folk are shameless in their bandwagon sports fan logic. They have perfected living with constant cognitive dissonance.

Does anyone else have this problem? I have an uncontrollable addiction to staring at hot ass. Particularly in yoga pants. I dont mean I just enjoy looking... I have a serious problem with getting distracted from work, grocery shopping, talking etc. I could be having a totally professional conversation with a co-worker, but the minute that hottie walks by me in her yoga pants... its over.I Lose all focus and can only think about said ass. Does anyone else have this issue?

good grief, what trash

Does anyone have any footage this year of self and Marshall interacting behind the scenes? I want to see if self silver backed Marshall off the court. That really showed that self is th better man and concerned about what matters in a basketball team.
Silver backed?

Is that like a chicken wing?

I don't what they mean either, but it's the phrase of the day over there. Silverback gorilla somehow meaning dominate male?

So I just googled this term and the definition does not belong on this family blog. Just despicable what's going on over there.

Oh man I so hope Self leaves.  Can you imagine who Zulu would hire?  Probably Tom Penders or Florida's 2nd assistant coach or something like that.
