how bad does beady have to do to get fired in under 3 full seasons? would he get a 4th year if he had 3 wins after 3?
according to my ku buds.......he's got the keys to the kingdom.........and since his pay is so low, 5 years minimum

1-2.  SDS is the W.

0-3. Beatty will be coaching his first football game with what's left of Charlie Weis's players. It's going to be very ugly, and it won't be his fault. KU just needs to stick with him and give him a chance. If there is some way they can reschedule the SDSU game to the end of the year (maybe on the SEC's FCS day) they would probably win, though.

they will at least have a winning record going into the first game, so i think that helps them go 1-2 in that 3 game stretch.

it will be a season of streaks. a 2 game winning streak w/ the spring game and SDSU, then an 11 game losing streak. a solid building block for the future.

"Friend" of mine who is a big KU supported/fan spoke with the KU AD during the Baylor bball game and asked him why they're not pouring $ into the stadium and upgrading facilities right now. His answer explains it all. He said, "Right now we're 9 out of 10 when it comes to football facilities in the big XII (uh, who is 10?). We can't afford to spend $150M on renovations and only jump to like 7 or 8 in that race. That would be a poor use of funds. When we rebuild (he said rebuild), it needs to put us in the top half of the conference" Also, he gave some excuse on that the campus has regulations of how tall and where they can build up the stadium in its current location. He said to dig down or do a complete tear down and rebuild would cost  a minimum of $250-300 given the space available - money they don't have now. Mentioned that U of Minn was what they were targeting and they spent about $300ish million on a 53K seat stadium.

So, they're just wait it out until someone donates another $100M to the football program. That is a solid plan.

This is such a douchey thing to say.  Just because K-State's better in football than KU right now doesn't mean you guys know more about the sport.

No it's not.  Minnesota's stadium is exponentially better than K-State's hole in the ground surrounded by a parking lot.  You guys have circle jerked yourselves into a psychosis.

If by "junior" you mean "way better than K-State's stadium," I would tend to agree.
