In the Tourney ...
1)Shot it well - 56-97 2pt (57.6) and 21-54 3pt (38.9)
Opponent 53.5 on 2pt, 33% on 3pt
2)OR% difference is almost even
3)FTR only 22% (Opp FTR just 20.3)
4)TO rate about -1.6%. They have TO the ball around 19.4% so we could get that over 20% with our Defense.
Loyola biggest strength was same as Creightons biggest strength. CU was 9th, Loyola 7th is eFG shooting. Creighton did shoot more 3s.
1. Loyola doesn't have a high volume shooter like Foster, so while Barry and Sneed will be the fuel for our Defensive fire, we must continue to play great Team Defense.
2. They worry more about getting back on D than getting OR, so we should be fine as long as we have 4 or 5 going after DR, not just 2-3
3. Their last 13 games, 6 of them they were under 18.0 on FTR. So quite different than the UK team that was getting 45.0 on average.
Only twice in the last 11 games (not counting Ku with no Barry) have we let a team shoot 50% or better on 2pt. One of those times, the team, TCU, shot just 5-20 on 3Pt.
Under 50% eFG
20% or more TO.
We win.
