Everything I have seen mentions that every time they have had a bad season under Patterson they turn around and have a double digit win season the next year.

Meh. Gary is 25-20 in Big 12 games. Went 7-6 in TCU's first year as a member of the Big 12. Followed it up with 4-8. So another disappointing season wouldn't be a shocker. Kenny Hill is not Trevone Boykin. Their defensive S&P has been declining for the last couple seasons. I think 6-6, give or take a game, is a lot more probable than that 12-1 they pulled out a couple years ago.

Any chance he has another couple bad seasons and jumps ship (gets fired) to come be KSU's head coach / would we even want him?

Robert told me 13-0 at the preseason fan appreciation day so I think I will go with that.  :ksu: :billdance:  :comehere:

Who would want a mediocre coach from the same conference?

It wasn't long ago that many saw Gary as the best chance we had going forward. It is interesting what a few bad years can do to our perception of a coach's ability.

I'm still hoping for the dream scenario where Saban gets tired of winning "the easy way" and decides KState is just enough of a challenge to whet his appetite until he retires.

I'll take my victory lap now. I said the increased exposure of being in a P5 conference would expose him as an overrated weirdo.
