I was wrong to invest myself emotionally in KState football this year.  Wake me up when Snyder is done.

I'm pretty much here

This thread really should be pinned. How in the hell is this fiscal responsibility?

Seeing that POS baby Briles on BU's sideline still infuriates me.

He has to be the one that tried to argue with Brenda Tracy, right?
Highly likely.

Bennett was my first guess

Our kicker is still good

Uh.

Uh what?

Uh, he's been good his whole career, we know that. But if he's 66% all season (bad holds or whatever excuses you want), or more importantly, misses field goals in the big situations, we're in trouble.

If we have to rely on a college kicker to make every single kick then we deserve to lose. How did WVU do after Lambert missed a chip shot? He's won us a whole hell of a lot more than he's lost for us. He's a very good college kicker, if you don't think so, sorry about it.

Currie not forcing Bill to make changes to the offensive staff is just as negligent as hiring oscar Weber.

And meanwhile, Kenny Hill has thrown for 440 and 5 TD's against OU.

I hate the Kenny Hill thing because if he were here, he may not even get to play. We haven't let a quarterback play like that since 2003.

Not to disagree with our craptastic OC's and HC who's probably listening to Lawrence Welk reruns on his headset ... but, X's and O's aside - just sayin' players also missed catch, kicked out of bounds, missed FG.  Didn't see much in WV's 2nd half adjustment that called for us to throw (and throw long too).   Play calling / clock management is and has been a head shaker for years now.

It's college football, players are going to make mistakes. You have to put your players in the position to succeed and we don't. We are risk averse cowards that leaves or players with no margin for error. LHC Bill Snyder and his idiot coaching staff brought into this stupid, "LHC Bill Snyder's teams don't make mistakes" bullshit and it's caused this to happen. That is a total rough ridin' myth. Version one of LHC Bill Snyder football made lots and lots of mistakes but made twice as many plays. We don't make plays anymore we just hope the other team fucks up. I'm sick of it, I've never been so frustrated watching sports, Bill, Dana, and Del are holding this program back.

He's very good with time and space but absolutely terrible with any kind of pressure, passing or running.

Obviously every quarterback is like this to a certain extent, Ertz seems to be more on the extremes than most.

I am certainly not going to come in here and say he had a even okay game. It wasn't good, we scored 16 points and he, as the quarterback, has to shoulder that. It was his second state against a team with a pulse, hopefully he'll get better.

Now about that hopefully. If his coaches don't trust him to run a real offense then he needs to sit. I don't know if it's his reads or what we're checking into but every rough ridin' pass off of the blitz was a go route. He isn't hitting those because he isn't stepping into them, that's his fault, but why can't the coaches see that? He did a great job on intermediate routes, even on passing downs, why weren't they called more?

We have no offensive identity and that's the fault of the coaches. If they feel like he can't run an offense then he needs to be benched and we can just run Delton and Warmack on QB reads every play.

It's v weird that you guys still think ISU is going to win this game.

No one thinks that

It's scary because I wrongly thought ISU would be closer to KU ineptness.  Clearly they are not.

Did you see my Joel Lanning stat?
If Rhoades was was still their coach I wouldn't give them that benefit of the doubt.

That's fair. They're going to lose this game though and whenever someone reads too much into one game I'll always post this link http://m.espn.go.com/ncf/gamecast?gameId=400763456&action=recap

Also as it regards to coaching, Iowa State has about a billion penalties for roughly a trillion yards today and they've been doing that all season. I would be surprised if they are in the top 100 nationally in penalties per game.

We are now up to 4 XPs blocked in the UT OSU game

25472
no one in the conference has a win nearly as good as @ucla, everyone's offense sucks.

Are you saying Big 12 offenses suck?
yes.

That's an interesting take that can't be justified by any metric but okay.
every team has either had better offenses in very recent years or has never had a good offense:

oklahoma.
osu scored 27 on central michigan
west virginia hasn't scored 40 yet
texas hasn't played a decent defense
baylor is losing to iowa state
tech just lost mahomes
tcu had six points at half against smu

there isn't an argument that a big 12 offense is above average

We can look at these cherry picked nuggets, including one that is actually an indictment on a defense not an offense or we can point to the fact that half of the conference is in the top 25 of the nations highest ranked total offenses.

The Big 12 is going to get blown out in the Sugar Bowl.  :frown:

I wouldn't be so sure of that given the opponent will be either Tennessee, Georgia, LSU, or Ole Miss.

Both of these Big 12 games are comically bad. Fun games but these teams are very very flawed.
