If I missed the thread about this please forgive me and merge but how amazingly layered this thing is.
1. Are there really people out there clamoring for the FBI to devote the resources they did to this? Rich people using their money to get their kids into universities is the least shocking thing ever.
2. What an amazing racket the ringleader had. Someone paid him $1.2 million dollars to give a coach a $400,000 bribe. Holy crap, this guy made the easiest money ever. It will be waiting for him after he does his 16 months in club fed.
3. Who in the world bribes someone to get their kid into Texas Tech? WTF?
4. Why didn't these people just walk into the chancellor's office and offer to build a building?
5. Lori Laughlin getting a million dollar bail for $500,000 in bribes is rough ridin' outrageous. How does that make any sense?

The 2017 Big 12 Women's Golf Champion was murdered in Ames on Monday morning, on a golf course. Her name is Celia Arozamena and she's from Spain. She completed her eligibility last year but she was finishing her degree, she was going to graduate in December. She was murdered on the 9th hole at around 10am Monday morning.

The dude that did it lived in a homeless encampment between the golf course and a multiplex theatre just east of campus.

So instead of being ashamed and showing support for this woman, nearly everyone associated with their 24/7 site decided to take a different path.

They think either she made it up or a fan of another school other than A&M sent it to make them look bad

The first comment is hidden to members but it says

Thats a low blow. Lets ignore for a moment where or whom created the letter. She knows how it would look.

So please explain to me why were accepting of that going out to the world ? Thats unacceptable. So what a regent criticized your husband. Ok. So you are still being paid by the school. Its bigger than your ego. You dont throw your school under the bus like that.

A lot of people have given a lot to your hisband’s program to have success. Oh. And made you rich along the way.

And furthermore why would you give a voice to ignorance by broadcasting it? And in the process possibly hurting the reputation of the folks who have supported your husband. At least that of course would be the knee jeek reaction.

So i have a lot of questions for charlene. It seemed very accusatory, didn’t it?

Some other comments

She did it to shift the attention away from her husband who was being roasted all offseason and all week for being a shitty coach.

No matter what else happens, no matter all his abundance of failures, A&M will be the racist school that fired their "@#&$*# head coach."
That is the card they'll play.

Have you considered that someone has a plan in place to justify his failures as a coach if and when his time is gone here? You know the excuse: toxic environment. So what if such an allegation is baseless. That's how this game is played to keep careers intact. I say that only because we are living in a world now in which everyone is a victim, even if he's paid millions and millions of dollars, and people are no longer responsible for their failures. We live in a time when it's always someone else's fault. Not saying this is the case here or making any predictions. Just saying instead that I'd not be surprised if this is how things play out. The victim card is very frequently played in 2017 America.

Best case scenario, she's a spiteful woman bitter about the criticism her husband is receiving.
Worst case scenario, she herself wrote the letter.
Bad look either way. A&M will be fine after Sumlin is gone, but potential future employers will be asking him about what his wife will do to reflect poorly on their program.
Sumlin, assuming he isn't in on the joke, SHOULD be livid at her. This doesn't help him longterm.

There are lots of these and no one stepping in to be a voice of reason.

Folks there is no way a member of the HCC sent that letter.

It's been sent to stir up trouble for A&M.

There's about a 5% chance that letter is real.

I'm in the group that thinks it's fake.
But if it's not fake I can't imagine an Ag doing it. The sender (person who hand delivered it) has to know that doing that can only hurt A&M especially in this social media age. The person has to know that it will blow up and he/she will be found out.
Also when the media and public find out it was one person who sent it and not an entire university, fan base, state, and region of the US they are gunna be extremely disappointed. Might even blame Trump.

Does this mean anything to any of you? It was probably the news event of my lifetime that had the greatest effect on me along with the Murrah Building bombing and the Challenger explosion.

There are several documentaries this week devoted to the subject including one on the History Channel tonight. I wonder how others experienced this. I was 16 years old in Garden City and I really had no one to share my feelings with. It was a rollercoaster of sadness and anger, even a little bit of relief as I felt like I lived a little bit through the civil disobedience.

I'll be interested to see where my emotions will go reliving this through much older eyes this week.

2 home games against the top of the league, 3 conference road games against teams with a similar profile, and a non con road game that should be easy but won't be.

I think 3-3 is the goal here, at that record you're either going to have one or two great wins(potentially one being over the #1 team in the country) or three road wins against teams we need to better than. We go 2-4 I'll consider that holding serve, 4-2 and we can start talking about a top 6 tournament seed.

I thought, and I may be wrong, that Baylor did a good job of containing Sisco, it looked to me that they used their ends to keep him hemmed in, they essentially stood their ends up. It looked to me that either Dana, Del, or Dickey saw this and at halftime decided to blow them off of the ball and run right at those ends with the tailbacks. Am I wrong about this?
