This isn't a hidden thing from Franken's past. There was a photo taken that he was obviously aware of and other people were aware of at the time. If he resigns now, what happens if he gets another job and someone brings this up again in 10 years. Does he have to resign from that job too?

The Weinstein stuff was a pretty open secret, as were a number of the Hollywood items, so I don't know why being a hidden thing matters.  Although he may be absolved of punishment in the legal system, I don't think someone holding public office should be absolved of any potential consequences just because the offense happened years ago.  Again, I'm not saying he should necessarily be forced to resign but I would like to see him take ownership and hold himself to a higher standard.

I have read that the dude who took the picture has already stated the lady soldier asked for it to be staged like it is. Interesting if accurate.

Of course she's lying her ass off about being asleep, she's wearing her body weight in military gear.

So to recap:
The "kiss" was a part of a sketch
She lied about the context and content of the photo
She appears as a guest on Hannity on a semi-regular basis
Roger Stone, her friend, tweeted about this the day before she revealed whatever this was.

What person of consequence will be the first you publicly call this what it is.

Quote from: Email I got From Change.org

When I entered a Massage Envy in a crowded family shopping center on a Saturday afternoon, I was prepared to have a relaxing massage after a long week. Never did I expect that I would be sexually assaulted by my masseuse, and that Massage Envy would never apologize or take responsibility for what had happened to me in their establishment.

I’m campaigning to demand that Massage Envy change their corporate policy to better protect their clients from sexual assault and support those who are assaulted in their stores.

The way Massage Envy treated me after the incident was almost as traumatizing as my assault. Immediately after leaving the room I told the manager on duty that we needed to call the police.  She told me that was not necessary because Massage Envy would handle it internally. When her supervisor called me the next day they told me that they understood that I was “unhappy with my massage experience”, so they would not charge me for the massage.

I never heard from anyone at Massage Envy ever again, even after my attacker was convicted of felony sexual assault. I’ve now learned that there have been countless assaults at Massage Envy stores around the country, yet the company has taken no responsibility for stopping them, or supporting survivors.

The way this corporation treated me was horrific and I don’t want anyone else to have to go through what I did. Sign my petition asking that Massage Envy put in place procedures to protect their clients and support those who are victimized in their stores.

Signed,

Danielle Dick

Massage Envy is a massage place in Wichita.

If he's innocent he better come out with all of the zeal against this. If not, bye.

His initial response was that he didn't remember, which is obviously far from saying it was something he never would have done.

Yep.  Since he was a senator at the time, this is more squarely in the realm of what an ethics committee can and should investigate.  If it didn't happen, he should be pushing hard for that.  There should certainly be witnesses.  If it did happen, no point in drawing it out.
