oscar runs 3 guards, small forward and center you idiot.

Hence why Mcgruder played the 3 as a guard the whole rough ridin' year.

Illinois got its first 2015 commit--->D.J. Williams.

ESPN = #29 overall; Scout = #35 overall; Rivals = #45 overall.

Simeon coach Robert Smith said he was proud to send players to Illinois.

“It’s one thing [former Simeon coach Bob] Hambric talked to me about when I was younger, about keeping guys at home is always big for Simeon, Illinois and the state,” Smith said. “I think it’s a great opportunity. Our basketball is too good in the state to have everyone leave for other schools. That’s my drive to let other people and coaches know to try to keep our guys home. It’s not for everyone. It’s best for some players to go to Kentucky, Duke and North Carolina because it doesn’t fit here, but we should try to make our basketball rich and good in Illinois.”

He also is the first Simeon player in history to commit before his senior year.

In 2011, Weber started five small forwards.

oscar runs 3 guards, small forward and center you idiot.

Hence why Mcgruder played the 3 as a guard the whole rough ridin' year.

http://www.kstatesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/rodney_mcgruder_609226.html

McCamey
Richardson
Cole
Davis
Tisdale

McCamey played the 3 on a number of occasions. He would sometimes point it out to ignorant interviewers, in response to particular questions. "I was playing small forward."

Calling Tisdale a small forward is pretty easy, based on his game. But for expert analysis, I asked Skip Thoren (one of the great all-time Illini). He agreed, absolutely, that Mike Tisdale was a small forward.

Richardson and Brandon Paul were two other guys that often played the wing. Richardson was the full-time 3 last year.

As far as I can tell from reading goEMAW, Weber continues to recruit fives of small forwards, and then asks the shorter ones to man the point, while asking the taller ones to man the pivot.

No.  Foster, Johnson, and Thomas are all 5'11-6'2 PGs, SGs.

Maybe in the future, tho

I'm pretty sure Weber wants to continue to go with the 3G/SF/PF line up. I'm okay with that as long as it works.
