I watched from here to eternity this morning but my flight landed with like 15 mins left. A living nightmare. It was really good though. One of the things that brings me the most joy in life is watching a really old movie that still delivers. I mean frank sinatra won an Academy award for his role! I had no idea. Really good dialogue. I mean when you watch an old movie whose dialogue still sounds good, isn't it like, wtf were other screenwriters doing back then? Anyway it's really good and i want to watch the end sometime

Oh yes. It wasn't a big deal, and then they started arguing immediately after, probably to diffuse the sexual tension

Pixels.   Thought it was going to suck bad.  Nope.  I may be benefiting from low expectations, but I thought it was fun and liked it.

True Story

what an abrupt, awful ending.

Hey, I really like cowboy movies, but this one had some terrible features. The guy from the TV show Lost was not good in this movie, and neither was the Dad from Stepbrothers.  Kurt Russell was his Wyatt Earp character, which was fine.

The show could have been 45 minutes long, and lost nothing.

listen, everybody is entitled to an opinion, but richard jenkins completely stole every scene he was in and was nominated for several awards. i'm not sure i wouldn't be out of place by questioning whether you actually watched this movie.

I was all ready to come in here and get all haughty about one of my favorite movies from last year, but mocat did a good job of dismissing Pete's opinion outright.  If you can't enjoy Richard Jenkins' performance in that movie, then I think that says more about you than it does the movie.

Look, "crazy old coot" is a Western Movie staple, and Richard Jenkins played that role as well any I suppose.  I'll admit that.  However, I would have gone with "loose cannon" instead as a side kick.  That guy from Lost just sort of stood there the entire movie.  Boring!

I did enjoy the neck wind pipe flute idea, but couldn't help but wonder on how they could prevent making the noise with every breath they took.

And, why leave the pregnant ones alive on the way out????

watched this week:

taking of pelham 123 - pretty actiony, not bad as i thought it would be
the bourne legacy- pretty actiony, weird without jason bourne, still good
rewatched traffic- so good, so good, tough to follow at times but great

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I've been watching old movies on crackle and enjoyed some of the following:

7 Years In Tibet
Spy Game
The Interpreter

Old school Brad Pitt, Robert Redford, and Sean Penn with a little Nicole Kidman mixed in.

Eli Roth must have really sweet talked those Mexicans to get them to give him the money for his last two. Yikes. He was never talented but things are really bad now.
