Next in this wonderful interview, the hosts wanted to know if Beasley has a smoker’s jacket, the jacket of “real man,” according to Crowder — the “king of the castle’s outfit.”

Given my situation I’m not going to call it a smoker’s jacket,” Beasley said. “I’m going to call it a DirecTV jacket. Yeah I definitely have a DirecTV jacket.

“Like you said, It’s that man feeling, man. We all pay our own bills, we all take care of our own household, so it’s just a little added touch to feel like a boss.”

If the mods could arrange a Reddit-like AMA with Beasley, I'd renew my premium subscription for a decade.

Maybe they'll reenact this in Miami

Looking back makes me sad.   :frown:

don't be an idiot, you should consider yourself lucky that you even got to experience such joy and beauty. We all should.

I honestly had never seen that video before.   I too, am saddened by it but for different reasons.   I don't think I truly appreciated what a fantastic time that was at the time.   Nothing will ever be that wonderful again.

My goodness, get over the depression. K-State basketball will be good again in all of our lifetimes and it will be fun. Probably within the next 5 years, 10 at the most.

Yeah, it got better. I don't expect that long of stretch (from Kruger to Huggins) again.

The depression is something I grapple with on a daily basis as a K-State basketball fan.  I think its part of the reason why I melted down so hard when JP went off the tracks mid season.  Its really tough to finally have a program become something you always knew it could be, and have it turn back towards that dark road again.  I remember hating our coaches for so many years because it was like we weren't trying to be a successful program.  Then bam, Huggy and everything changed overnight.  And now with oscar....I think the biggest issue I have now are the fans that like oscar or needed this year to happen before they turned.  You just want to shake them and say do you you want to go back to the last 20 years of K-State basketball?  Is that the kind of program you want here? I'm sick of K-Staters who are happy with mediocrity.  Sick of the fans who bitch about people calling out oscar on the K-State sports facebook posts.

Beasley has 13 points in 11 minutes at half against the Bulls on TNT.  5/6 shooting including 3/3 from 3.  It was a joy to watch.
