Hopefully oscar can recruit better players so he doesn't have to be such an awesome coach.

I love these responses.

But yes, he needs more good players if he wants to go beyond being a bubble team. Of course, its likely Foster will be one of the Top 5 players in the league maybe even next year, but for sure his JR/SR seasons. When you have that, you should be contending for a league title.

Can you imagine how good of a team ksu could be if oscar recruited really well?  Like, for example if he recruited like Self or something.  We'd be national championship game good....

I think oscar did a very good job recruiting last year. His only failure was in addressing a glaring need at the post, but I haven't liked a freshman class this much since Beasley/Pullen/Sutton/Walker/Samuels. It's a distant 2nd, but it's still 2nd.

Tubby should of won coach of the year, IMO. Ellis was KUs best player this year

we should have a mixed-nutz outrageous post of the day.

Texas Tech is a whole 3 conference games better this year than last. That Perry Ellis point is

Fwiw, this one doesn't even begin to represent how outrageous most of mixed-nutz' claims are irl

Yeah, oscar did a phenomenal job recruiting with the freshman class. I mean, I think he kind of got lucky, but that's just the way it goes sometimes.

I'm almost more worried if he thinks he knew what he was doing. I don't think finding Marcus Foster's is a very sustainable recruiting plan.

I like that they got a couple transfers in Edwards and Bolden. I think that's a good chance to take at times when you are K-State. Granted, you could end up with a Herrera or a Murda.

But finding a guy like Foster who plays like a Top 50 recruit is not likely to happen again in the next couple years.

Who would you have made POY MIR?

Wiggins. Ejim is okay I guess but to me he's Cartier Martin and people would  at him being the Big 12 POY.

I agree the transfers are a good strategy. But like you said, it's hard to know how Bolden will play out. (I think we have a pretty good idea with Edwards).

I feel pretty good about our lineup next year. That being said, i'm basing that strictly off "hype" for Hurt and "potential" for Bolden. That didn't work well for me with Thomas.

Wow.  The rebounding is the obvious difference, but the scoring/shooting stats are shockingly similar.  Good find

How good do you think Edwards will be?

depends on minutes and usage, I'd guess around 9ppg (+/-4ppg), 46% EFG (+/-5%).

Thank you. I've been sitting on that link since Ejim's 48 point game.

I hope so. I like his speed and defense. I hope he can work on the other things. No more passes to the other team.  :nono:

Do we have a "Mr. Hustle" award? I would give that one to Thomas.

Didn't realize there was much resistance on this site regarding Ejim getting POY.

Ejim is pretty crappy as B12POYs go.  Wiggins should have gotten it IMO.

wiggins didn't do crap on the road.... except for scoring a bunch of useless pts when KU was getting spanked at WV.   Im not saying Ejim was a great Big 12 POY.... but I think he deserved it more than Wiggy.

Good comparison.  I was actually thinking 14 pts and around 35% from 3pt would be nice stats to have from Edwards next year
