(big woop, I know) I think that's been the biggest problem with beaz in the NBA has been his hustle and consistency. I wish he would show some of his old confidence too. I wish there was a magic wand for that, probably not though.
EDIT: I think the Heat will eventually re-sign Beasley in the off-season because they don't need another superstar in Melo they need to develop their bench/role players more and I think B-Easy could be a huge impact off the bench for that team and in return it could help bring more confidence to our guy...leading to a bigger payday for the best player in the history of our program.

With Ray and Battier (and Haslem maybe?) retiring, it doesn't seem out of the question for Beas to be the scorer off the bench for Miami. They will be lacking PF depth anyway so that should get him more minutes (feel free to correct me actual Heat fans). It just seems smart to stay there because Miami will at least make the conference finals if not the NBA finals again. Of course this increase of PT talk goes out the window if MIA manages to land Melo somehow.

Pretty baller move on Mikes part. Its like a story I heard about mike tyson in his prime. His issue isn't with money its with playing time. He's only going to get a vet minimum - 1yr/$1MM from whatever team he signs with. What he's looking for is the best opportunity for sustained playing time so he can get a guaranteed contract afterwards.

The depression is something I grapple with on a daily basis as a K-State basketball fan. I think its part of the reason why I melted down so hard when JP went off the tracks mid season. Its really tough to finally have a program become something you always knew it could be, and have it turn back towards that dark road again. I remember hating our coaches for so many years because it was like we weren't trying to be a successful program. Then bam, Huggy and everything changed overnight. And now with oscar....I think the biggest issue I have now are the fans that like oscar or needed this year to happen before they turned. You just want to shake them and say do you you want to go back to the last 20 years of K-State basketball? Is that the kind of program you want here? I'm sick of K-Staters who are happy with mediocrity. Sick of the fans who bitch about people calling out oscar on the K-State sports facebook posts.

Beasley has 13 points in 11 minutes at half against the Bulls on TNT. 5/6 shooting including 3/3 from 3. It was a joy to watch.
I threw out fist pump from my couch when he hit his third three. It's fun to see him run faster when he's making shots.

Probably not...and since the heat will likely receive a decent draft pick and a healthy team Bill and maybe both will search for new jobs next year. They are one game out of the 7/8 seed right now.
