One of the worst BBQ meals I've had in KC. Plus the floor was so greasy I almost broke my neck.

the people who love lc's went 1 time 9 years ago and had a good experience. similar to that guy who once ordered a burnt end sandwich at gates and it wasn't loaded with grizzle and chunks of fat.

Just like every old-school KC BBQ place the majority of the times LC's is on-point and easy to see why it's KC top 10. Occasionally LC's brick oven produces a BBQ product that is indescribably good, the deep fryer fries those fries perfectly, and some of the fugitive ambient smoke mixes and adds a little extra to those beans and makes you want to keep coming back. When that happens it makes me come back.

I tried LC's once before a royals game a couple years ago. Placed order at 6:15.....6:45 comes around and no food. I go back up to counter and give them my receipt. A guy takes and and says it will be right out.

Its now 7 and I go back up. Said guy has just gotten off his shift, they ask for my receipt. I explain I don't have it and tell them what I ordered. Finally get food at 7:10 and the order was wrong.

Never again.

LC's is good for the 435 ride. If your coming on 70 you're get Rosedale on SW BLVD. If you're coming from east of the stadium you're gross.
