Just picked up South Park fractured but whole. Should be fun it also came with the stick of truth so I think I will beat it first
Review?  Thinking of getting it soon

I have a co-worker telling me how fun this was the other day.
If you both are fans of the series I would highly recommend it. It is fun and follows the show very closely. The game play is fun and its interesting to see how big Southpark really is. I'm about 3 hours into so I haven't gotten to the really cool stuff so far.

Anyone playing NHL '18? I'm having trouble with it being glitchy a.f. On season mode it calls lots of penalties on me, no matter what I do with the sliders. When I set lots of penalties I mean like, 8-10 called in a 12 minute game. I've also played about 30 games and never gave up less than four goals in each game, I've restarted seasons two different times now, it's frustrating as hell.

Picked up Forza 7 for half off on Black Friday and it’s rough ridin' awesome. Looks increds on the new tube too. Racing games are in my top 2 favorite types of games. I remember getting the original Forza.

I am about to embark on a bold video game endeavor.

My 10 year old had a bday party this past weekend, and we system-linked an Xbox 360 with an Xbox One and had a small LAN party using backward compatible 360 games (Halo and COD).  They had a blast.

So, I am going to procure a couple more used Xbox 360's and another Xbox One, a few cheap 32 - 40 inch LCD's and set the SOB's up in my semi-finished-remnant-carpet-and-old-furnniture-kid-lair basement. It will be 4 screens, with 3 box 360s and an Xbox One (keeping one Xbox One upstairs in the den for me tho  :gocho:)

I am kinda pumped about this. The kids will mostly use it for LAN parties, but I've also wanted a place to watch like two TV's while playing video games at the same time.   I'll also take the SOB over for NCAA tournament.

Reach is actually the one they are playing now.  We found the game for $9 at vintage stock and bought them out.

Reach and 3 are the best Halos in my opinion.

Sorry Greg, not sure you are qualified in this one since you were in preschool when CE came out.

Yeah I get that from a lot of people but I'm sure I can hold my own against anyone in these games.

You can get 1080p 40 inch TV’s at Micro center right now for $159.  I just bought 3 for the new super LAN zone in my basement! Merry Xmas Mother Fuckers!

I have probably asked this before but I wanted to ask when a good time is to get a console and/or gaming rig for your kid?

I keep telling him he has to be 10 (which would make the next one 8).  He plays angry birds and cartoon network games on the computer sometimes so he isn't a no screen time weirdo or anything.

Thoughts?

Wait as long as you can.  My son is 10.  He has always had mine around, but just got his own this year with a Switch.   Tho, we did give him a DS when he was 8, so that really does count I guess.  But before that he was a kitchen Mac Minecraft addict.

My not a parent opinion: my nephews have had portable things for long car rides which has made those easier.

I mean we have an iPad, we aren't complete Luddites, but for long car rides we mostly drive while they sleep.

I have posted this a ton but the Xbox 360 kinect games are some of the most kid friendly imo.  Also, taking away Xbox time is about the biggest hammer you can have for a kid until they get a phone

Fortnight Battle Royale is so much fun, but so hard.   I am a COD Hardcore (one shot one kill) guy, and not a jump around and shoot someone 80 times to kill them guy  So, this game is harder for me.  But man, 50 vs 50 or 100 person every man for himself is insane.  HUGE map.  So much fun.

Yes!  But I prefer playing squads/duos.  My crew and I are at about a 10% win rate.
