The latest: The Wildcats landed a commitment from Oklahoma CB Walter Neil, though he won't be an official member of the class. Neil pledged over the weekend to be a preferred walk-on for the Wildcats. The 5-foot-9, 160-pound defensive back visited for Kansas State's season opener against South Dakota.

Where's the issue? The kid is going to come to K-State as a student on his dollar and try to prove he can make the team. What if the kid becomes a stud for us...what will be your take then?

Really? we would have missed out on a lot of great kstate talent without walkons. BJ Finney, Jordy Nelson, Ryan Mueller, Jon McGraw, to name a few.

He didn't mean that in a negative way. He was just saying why would anyone worry about grabbing a kid and risking nothing?! Who cares, come give it a shot young man.
