Coming off the success of AvivoPak, the goEMAW BBBS bowling team entered their scheduled event with a balance of $4,517 raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters. goEMAW dominated the evening, both on the scoreboard and the accounting ledger.
Your humble author frankly got fairly pak’d, so I’ll be posting details of the evening in the BBBS thread on goEMAW.com. I’ll need the other pak’rs to help plug in some details. I don’t remember putting on our pak head masks, let alone hanging the banners and then taking the giant check to Manhattan.
There’s still time to donate. We gathered we’re a little less than $3,000 behind the leading small company, Eby Construction. We met Mr. Eby at last night’s event and he took great pleasure in telling us they were “Boomer Sooners” and that they didn’t anticipate planning losing their championship to a bunch of purple pussies, notwithstanding him immediately running out the side door before I could execute a chokeout.
Once again, donations large and small can be made at the following links:
Don’t forget, we have a number of prizes that will be raffled off to the donors, including gift certificates to Houlihan’s in Manhattan and the Michael Beasley signed basketball. Details are in the thread on goEMAW.com.
AvivoPak was a smashing success, raising $800 for the goEMAW Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraiser. Pledges from many goEMAW’rs have been coming in all week as well, with our total funds raised as of this posting at $3,760.00.
We’re still hoping to get to a total of $7,000 which should secure us the golden bowling pin trophy.
Amabassador’s Level ($100+) donors thus far include EMAW dignitaries EMAWgeddon, Saul, LSOC, Meek, Levi and others. Pete is the lone Governor’s Level ($200+) donor. That said, we welcome all donations, however small, as we work towards our goal.
Again, donations can be made at any of our team members’ pledge pages:
Days after resolution of Conference Armageddon, goEMAW took to the Wichita Catbackers’ Summer Bash with a mission, present President Schulz with the first ever goEMAW Certificate of Participation for his successful efforts in saving KSU from mid-majordom (officially). Naturally, not only was the mission accomplished, Kellis was mocked and bros were ICE’d.
May 1, 2010 featured an elite pak for the ages, despite being hastily organized just hours prior to the event. Upon learning that Frank Martin, Denis Clemente and Luis Colon, all of the Big 12 Champion Kansas State Wildcats would be signing autographs at Wichita’s “Sports Time Fan Shop”, goEMAW sprung into action. Johnny Wichita secured prime seating at WichitaPizzaCat’s Avivo Brick Oven Pizzeria, which happens to share private entrances with Sports Time. Continue reading Wichita AvivoPak→
