Are you aware that football is what "drives the bus" so to speak?

Funny part is that you have been to BB post season but have never won a trophy. Even though it is ONLY BB and it is the NIT. NU has won at LEAST one BB post season tourney.
But hey, keep putting up those BB banners when your in the Sun Belt and Martin has said Adios.

Funny how everybody throws BB in your face on a football board after a loss.

OH YA!!! well, our  VB team owns you  :surprised:

i don't like how this team plays football.

this.  there's nothing exciting about this season at all.  a win on thursday does nothing.

Since you hate it so much, why don't you just quit watching it and commenting about it?

there's really nothing else on.  The League sucks this year and It's Always Sunny is kind of overrated.

loved the boat episode after a disappointing premiere

a W tomorrow will get me fired up because i fully expect to lose and lose ugly

Why are you still around?  Shouldn't you be running pivot man at some big 10 circle jerk?  If it's a friend you need, just say so.  If it's validation you desire, then here:  the huskers of nebraska are a good football team, one to take pride in.

For God's sake man, the party's over.  Either help clean up, bury the dead hooker, or go home.

what a terrible, boring football season for our favorite ksu football cats. i'm not even sure beating ku will turn things around.

I think the loss to Nebraska destroyed the illusion that this team could play for bigger things for most people.

If your expectation was a bowl game, and that's what you're happy with, there's still a lot to play for.  But that's kind of what we've been doing and flirting with for five years now.  It's kind of hard to enjoy the build up to a lower-tier bowl when you're used to upper-tier bowls year after year.
I think even the most optimistic people are just hoping this year is a building block to better things down the road.  Because the quality of football we're watching is just horrible.  It's really, really hard to watch.
Wow.....just WOW, year after year huh? Delusional much??

Fiesta Bowl twice
Cotton Bowl twice
Holiday Bowl three times

You don't think the Cotton and Holiday Bowls are upper-tier?  That is supposedly for the 2nd and 3rd place Big 12 teams.  Although Texas and Nebraska were awarded those two bowls in 1998 when we beat both of their asses and were ranked much higher.  I bet you still get wet dreams about that.
Wow impressive! Nah, we still have wet dreams over these........................

Huskers Bowl-by-Bowl

Orange - 17
Fiesta - 6
Sugar - 4
Cotton - 4
Alamo - 3
Rose - 2
Sun - 2
Holiday - 2
Independence - 1
Citrus - 1
Liberty - 1
Astro-Bluebonnet - 1
Gator - 1
Gotham -1

So your point seems to be that Nebraska was good at football before 1993 and K-State wasn't.  Yeah, OK we get that.  Congratulations.  Are you aware that KSU was a basketball school prior to that time?

KSU:  31 NCAA Tournament Wins
NU:  0 NCAA Tournament Wins Ever

Are you aware that football is what "drives the bus" so to speak?

Let's get this straight.  You start out all aghast that a KSU fan would state that he got used to attending upper-tier bowl games and call him delusional.  When it was pointed out that during the 11-year bowl streak, 7 of them were upper-tier, you list Nebraska's entire bowl history as if that is relevant to the discussion.  Now if you are 80+ years old and have personally attended all of those games, you might have something to gloat about.  But since that is not the case, why are you calling the guy delusional?  I don't get it.  Nebraska's bowl history dating back to the 1940's is no more relevant to this discussion than K-State's basketball history dating back to the 1940's.  And by the way, to say that K-State has never won a post season trophy in basketball is stupid as well.  As if 19 conference championships are meaningless.

I'd explain it all to you Nutz, but I havent got the time. But I will say this. If said poster was USED to upper tier bowls and since there were only seven. Wouldn't that make said poster about 12? I'll give you a minute............

Yeah, Rusty can eat a bag o dicks.  Seriously, even if you want Snyder gone, we still need to win as many games as possible.  If we tank the rest of this season half of our already decent class will decommit and we likely won't get anyone worth a crap to commit to any of the 12 or so open schollies we have.  It doesn't matter who's coaching- we still need to recruit better players if we want to improve and the best recruiting tool is having a good team on the field.  These high school and juco kids won't want to be anywhere near MHK is we go 4-8.  If we go 7-5, we stand to actually bring in some decent talent to help out over the next 4-5 years.  Rooting for losses is super counterproductive and a sure sign that you are a full-on Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!), like Rusty and Dax.

There is only one upper tier bowl in college football due to its Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) postseason "but hey every week is a playoff game" nonsense. All that matters after that game is conference titles.

If you seriously thought we had even a 50% chance of beating NU this season, especially after seeing Martinez play you are delusional. With Carson Coffman at QB and a defensive front seven that rivals those of the pre-Snyder era?

Let's get the extra practices, that make winning worth it, boring or not

Our class is only decent by Snyder standards.  Which means it's mostly crap.  I want KSU to lose every game this year so we can finally start rebuilding instead of treading water or whatever the eff we hired snyder to do.

#39 in the country, #6 in the conference, with only 13 commits. :dunno:  Add another 4 or so 3 star kids and the class is in the top 25.  (TCU has zero 4 star kids and are currently ranked #27)  Guess how many Top-40 classes GP has signed?  I guarantee you that no coach we hire would be able to secure a top 30-40 class if we go 4-8 this year.

Snyder definitely won't secure a top 30 class, and I doubt he ends up with a top 40 class, either.  Even if we go 8-4 or something absurd.  Snyder will be 86 or something absurd by the time this class becomes 5th year seniors.

Also, you can't compare rankings straight up between conferences.  Compare GP's recruiting to his peer schools.  (In that respect, he is blowing us out of the water, like, a lot.

So GP recruits different players because he is in the MWC?  That makes zero sense.  And he has never recruited well, even while being located deep in the most fertile recruiting grounds of college football.  Only an idiot would say that the class we have so far is not a solid one.  Add a few LBs, DTs, and a safety or 2 and this class will be a major success. We still have at least 12 scholarships open.

It makes perfect sense to non-retards.  Compare his recruiting to UH, Rice, and SMU during his tenure.  He destroys them.  DESTROYS.

UH, Rice, and SMU have all sucked balls, he should kick the crap out of them.  (Houston has obviously been decent for the last 2 years.). Compare his recruiting to Utah or BYU-  they kick that crap out of him.

Here's the deal . . . is GP landing Texas High Schoolers who actually show up qualified, ready to work and to eventually play??

Or is he floundering around with fringe qualifiers, non Texas high schoolers and Juco head cases??

Does Patterson see glaring weaknesses and go out and recruit 1 guy for those positions, and one other guy who might make it to campus if a miracle happens??

Plus, I'd take Wittingham or whatever his name is at Utah at K-State every day and twice on Sunday.   He's a good coach and Utah plays fast and hits.  BUt that Window has likely closed because Utah is going to the Pac-10 and will have more money coming in to pay their coach and coaches.

Our avg stars for 2011 is higher than #16 TTU's.  That is clearly not the best way to rank the classes.  Hell, GP has never even signed a top 45 class.  Snyder has consistently out recruited that guy, all day and twice on Sundays.  Yet you declare OB to be a horrible recruiter, bemoan his inability to bring in talent, and hype GP as our savior.  You're dumb, ignorant, Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!), or a mixture of the three.
